About Us

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

The Different Minds Collaborative examines a range of topics related to how experience, biology, development, and culture shape the cognitive, brain and computational processes of vision.

Members of the collaborative meet via video conferencing on the second Wednesday of every month at 2 PM (PDT). Our monthly meetings are informal affairs where collaborative members present results from collected data or ideas for future research.  The talks are intended to spark lively, critical and friendly discussions about the latest scientific research advances in the vision sciences.

The Different Minds Collaborative also sponsors special events (e.g., Psychopy tutorial workshop, post-conference wrap-up discussions, trainee conference) to foster cross-lab communications and generate collaborative research projects.
